  Is Duphaston The Right Medicine For Irregular Periods And PCOS?

I am 34 and was diagnosed with PCOS in 2011, then till now my periods have been irregular which means spots and heavy with clots sometimes. Today I went to Gyane and was prescribed with dupashton for regularize my period and she told me that i have thickened endometrium lining, will the dupashton medication can cure the thickened endometrium lining?

I do understand your pain and discomfort.
as per your question i may say for PCOS DuPhaston[ dydrogesterone] is correct .
Let me briefly tell you what further can be done-:
a)Reduce your body weight at least 5%
b)Take this pill to regularise your periods
c)Discuss about your primary doctor to add [Metformin]
d)after 4 month of treatment if you like to conceive tell your doctor to add clomiphene to stimulate your ovary, if that fails then FSH or LH will be given as injection.If every methods fail then Letrozole will be added.
e)Tell your dietitian to make a diet plan for you high fiber carbohydrates.
f)Do regular exercise and try to be physically active always .
